Responsible Travel

A defined share of every booking goes directly to the host family as their earnings. A small, transparent sustainability contribution funds village-level projects: water access, school supplies, home repairs, or biodiversity work chosen by the community.

The remainder covers platform operations, coordinator wages, insurance, and the media that lets us reach travelers like you.

Most experiences cap at 6–8 guests. Some sit at just 2. This is deliberate — larger groups change the room a family lives in.

Every experience, photograph, and story on this site is shared with the host's permission. Hosts can pause bookings at any time. We publish generic host descriptions publicly (rather than names and addresses) to protect their privacy until you're confirmed to visit.

• Refillable water stations replace single-use plastic on every itinerary.
• Local transport and low-impact routes where feasible.
• Ingredients sourced from the same village or its neighbours.
• Wildlife encounters follow observe-don't-touch guidance.

• Arrive on the family's schedule, not yours — a 30-minute delay is a big change to a home kitchen.
• Dress modestly at temples and inside homes.
• Ask before photographing people, especially children.
• Skip the plastic water bottles; refill from the stations we provide.
• Tip generously if you feel moved — 100% goes to the host or the person you name.

We're a small team learning as we go. We publish updates on host earnings and sustainability spend in our Impact page and journal. If something feels off during your visit, tell us — we'd rather fix it than pretend.
