When you make an inquiry, plan a journey, or book an experience, we collect your name, email, phone number, country, party size, travel dates, and any notes you share with us. When you create an account we also store your login email and a profile row.

We collect basic analytics — pages viewed, referring source, and approximate location derived from your IP — to understand how travelers use the site and improve it.

• To respond to your inquiry and prepare a proposal or itinerary.
• To confirm, deliver, and follow up on your booking with the host family and village team.
• To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, cancellations, reminders).
• To send our monthly journal only if you subscribe — one click to unsubscribe at any time.
• To improve our experiences and site through aggregated analytics.

We share the minimum required booking details with the host family and village coordinator for your specific journey. We use trusted service providers for hosting, database, email, and payments — each under their own privacy commitments.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for third-party advertising.

Booking records are kept for as long as we have an active or possible business relationship, plus the period required by tax and accounting law in Sri Lanka. Marketing subscribers are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained in aggregate.

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct inaccuracies, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@wingstail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

We use a small number of essential cookies for authentication and session state, and optional analytics cookies to measure site performance. You can clear cookies at any time in your browser settings.
